WATERTOWN, Wis. – A small private plane made a crash landing and caught fire in Watertown Sunday morning.
Officials said fire and emergency crews responded as soon as the plane crashed and no one was hurt. They said the pilot landed in the right spot but landed the wrong way.
Authorities said the plane burst into flames on the runway but the pilot managed to jump out safely.
The plane itself was total loss.
The Watertown airport is back open for business, officials said.
